I’m walking in support of Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago because I believe every child deserves a healthier future. For many families, Lurie Children’s isn’t just a hospital—it’s a special place of hope and healing that gives their child a chance to thrive.

This year, our walk carries an especially meaningful purpose. We walk in honor of Vernon, one of our first-grade students, who bravely battled a rare brain tumor and passed away earlier this year. Vernon was a cherished member of our school community, and we walk to remember him and to support his family, as well as other families who rely on Lurie Children’s during incredibly difficult times.

By walking, I’m raising money to help provide comfort, critical care, and groundbreaking research for kids when they need it most.
