Join Me in Lurie Children's Race Against Cancer
I’m participating in Lurie Children’s Race Against Cancer on Thursday, September 17, because every child facing cancer deserves the very best chance at a healthy future. Each year, more than 200 children are diagnosed with cancer at Lurie Children’s. The doctors, nurses and researchers caring for them are working every day to develop better treatments, advance lifesaving research and support families through every step of the journey.
This fall I find myself as a Nursing Student going into my last quarter at DePaul's MENP program having my final clinical placement at Lurie Children's Hospital for my capstone and I couldn't be more excited for the opportunity to get started. There, I'll have countless amazing experiences with pediatric patients and their families along with collaborations of care amongst interdisciplinary healthcare teams with opportunities to show my capabilities and value as a future nurse.
My goal for this fundraiser is simply to make a lasting impact upon Lurie Children's Hospital in more than one way. From the patients and their families I'll carry my unconditional service to their care and progression of health.
Together, we can move closer to a future where every child not only survives cancer, but thrives.
Thank you for being part of this important cause.
