Building on the legacy of Run for Gus, the Race Against Cancer expands our community’s ability to act and support every child facing cancer.
Whether you're running for a child you love, honoring someone who has faced cancer, celebrating survivorship or standing with families currently in treatment, every step and every dollar raised helps fuel lifesaving care and research at Lurie Children’s.
Participants, families, caregivers, hospital staff and supporters will gather in Chicago's Lincoln Park for a day filled with purpose, energy and hope.
Fundraising Support & Impact
When you register, you’ll get access to a fundraising headquarters and personalized fundraising page. We make it easy to update your information and share your goal with friends and family. Every dollar you raise will help support the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders, leading to better treatment options and breakthroughs for kids facing cancer. Participants are welcome to designate their fundraising to a specific area or program they are passionate about.
5K Race Through Chicago's Lincoln Park
Challenge yourself with a scenic 5K race through Lincoln Park, with views of Lake Michigan and the city skyline. Whether you're chasing a personal record or running with friends, every stride helps push the fight against pediatric cancer forward.
1-Mile Walk for All Ages and Abilities
Prefer to walk? Our 1-mile walk is designed for participants of all ages and abilities. Families, patients, survivors, caregivers and supporters will come together to walk side-by-side in support of children facing cancer.
The Run for Gus Kids Dash
Our youngest supporters can join the action with the The Run for Gus Kids Dash, a fun, high-energy sprint designed just for kids. With cheers from the crowd and big smiles at the finish line, it’s a joyful way for children to be part of the race.
Post-Race Celebration
After crossing the finish line, stick around for a post-race party filled with music, food and fun. Celebrate your accomplishment, connect with fellow participants and enjoy activities for the whole family as we honor the impact we’ve made together.
