Hi Everyone! I am so excited to be running the Chicago Marathon in honor of my patients at Lurie Children’s! As a nurse on the hematology/oncology unit, I have witnesssed patients and families fight through the darkest times of their lives. A Little Lighter allows us to provide extra support, whether it be covering expensive parking fees while staying at the hospital for several days/weeks/months, decorating patient rooms with string lights to brighten the mood, funding pediatric cancer research, or providing a space for mothers to lean on each other through our momcology group. This organization truly makes these dark times "a little lighter" for our patients and families. 

All donations are tax-deductible and will be acknowledged by Lurie Children’s Foundation.
