Support the kids with me!!
I'm excited to share that I'll be running the 2026 Bank of America Chicago Marathon, and I'm dedicating every one of my 26.2 miles to the incredible children and families undergoing cancer
and blood disorder treatments at Lurie Children's Hospital through the A Little Lighter fund.
A Little Lighter was created by the Pediatric Hematology, Oncology, and Stem Cell Transplant team at Lurie Children's with a simple but powerful mission: while they can't take away every
child's cancer, pain, or diagnosis of sickle cell disease, they can help make the journey a little lighter.
Donations help provide things like:
● Parking assistance and other resources that ease financial burdens on families
● Activities, toys, and creative experiences that brighten long hospital stays
● Support groups for parents of children with cancer and sickle cell disease
● Special events that create moments of joy and normalcy
● Pediatric cancer and sickle cell disease research to improve treatments and outcomes
As a nonprofit hospital, Lurie Children's relies on the generosity of donors to make these programs possible.
Here’s how your donations can make a difference:
$100 is enough to help make a child’s hospital stay a more positive experience with activities, supplies and toys.
$250 can provide patients with the support they need to thrive after lengthy hospital stays.
$500 supports clinical trials to help discover new or more effective treatment options.
$1000 means we can train the next generation of experts.
All donations are tax-deductible and will be acknowledged by Lurie Children’s Foundation.
On behalf of the patients and families of Lurie Children’s, thank you for your support!
