Everything changed the day of our 20 week ultrasound. We went in thrilled to see our baby girl, and went out with a diagnosis we had never heard of before: Tetralogy of Fallot, a congenital heart defect. 

We got help right away, first, from the Chicago Institute for Fetal Health at Lurie. Then, from the skilled, caring team at Lurie's heart center. 

At 7 months old, Alia had her repair. At 2, she is happy, healthy, and feisty! We are so grateful for Lurie and want other families whose lives have been upended to access the same top notch, compassionate care.
