DNS Capital is thrilled to again support Move for Kids, a 5k walk event to raise money for Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. Our efforts will be directed to the Pritzker Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health with the first $25,000 raised designated to Little Ones, a comprehensive program for children birth to five years old.  

Over the past four years, we have raised more than $283,000 for the Pritzker Department. With your generous support, we have accelerated the Pritzker Department’s work to care for more children and families. With your help, the Pritzker Department has:

• Expanded its team of staff and licensed providers by 50% to care for more children and adolescents.
• Trained hundreds of community-based pediatricians to identify early signs of mental issues in young people, leading to earlier diagnosis and care.
• Launched medical center-wide suicide prevention education, research and clinical initiatives, including screenings, to provide support to children and youth who are suffering in silence. 
• Established a dedicated Behavioral Health Observation Unit in the Emergency Department to better serve children and youth in crisis.
• Doubled research productivity to study and disseminate the most effective care models.
• Increased the pool of providers by training the next generation of psychiatrists, psychologists and social workers.

$100 could fund therapeutic toys for Lurie Children’s Little Ones
$250 could provide financial relief to families by assisting with costs associated with hospital visits, meals, and clothing needs
$500 could cover costs to provide 10 individual treatment sessions for five patients.
$1,000 could cover costs for one year of care for a child – from the initial assessment to care plan development to online therapy.
$5,000 could fund a scholarship for one family to participate in group therapy with Little Ones to discuss issues such as toileting woes, sleeping concerns and general behavioral issues and anxiety in young children. 
$10,000 could fund one year of parent group therapy for families insured by Medicaid.
$15,000 could provide seed funding for a member of the Pritzker Department to pursue research aimed at improving patient care.
