On October 12th I am running the Bank of America Chicago Marathon for the patients at Lurie Children’s! I am excited to represent a non-profit fund that directly benefits my patients and their families. A Little Lighter is proudly founded by our nursing staff in hopes to make the heaviness of childhood cancer and sickle cell disease a little lighter.

Our Mission: to aid in emotional, physical, and financial burden of pediatric hematology and oncology diagnosis in th einpatient and outpatient setting at Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago.

This year we are raising funds for: parent support groups, research to improve outcomes for pediatric cancer and sickle cell disease, parking passes, medical supplies, toys and much more!

All donations are tax-deductible and will be acknowledged by Lurie Children’s Foundation.

I plan to dedicate my 26.2 miles to all the patients I have cared for in the past and future. On behalf of the patients and families of Lurie Children’s, thank you for your support!
