About the Chicago Triathlon

Held for the last 40 years in downtown Chicago, the Chicago Triathlon is the largest urban triathlon in the U.S. Featuring 8,000 participants, 38% of whom are first-time triathletes, the Chicago Triathlon is one of the worldz’s most accessible triathlons. From first-timers to seasoned veterans, kids to grandparents, age-group competitors to paratriathletes, the Chicago Triathlon has an experience for everyone on the shores of Lake Michigan.

About the Corporate Challenge

To raise as much money as possible for pediatric cancer research at Lurie Children’s. Each participant (individual or relay team member) is required to raise a minimum of $250 for Lurie Children's by Friday, August 1.

Ways to Win

  • The team that raises the most money for Lurie Children’s wins the Champion of Hope Award.
  • The fastest team (top 10 finishers) wins the Tri-Cup.
  • The team with the highest average per person fundraising wins a Private Packet Pick-Up in their office.

Available Distances

  • Supersprint Distance: 0.23-mile swim, 6.2-mile bike, 1.5-mile run
  • Sprint Distance: 0.47-mile swim, 15-mile bike, 3.1-mile run
  • International Distance: 1.5K swim, 40K bike, 10K run
