When we had to rush our 8-year old daughter, Norah, to the emergency room last Labor Day because she was having difficulty breathing, it was a terrifying experience for our family. After initial treatment at our local hospital, Norah was transported via ambulance to Lurie Children’s Hospital so the team at Lurie Children’s Hospital could further evaluate and monitor her condition. Fortunately, Norah responded well to treatment and quickly made a full recovery after a brief hospital stay.
