Please Support My Efforts to Run NYC in 2024 for Lurie Children's Hospital!
As an avid runner and a dedicated Lurie Children's volunteer, I am thrilled to lend my support to this remarkable cause by participating in the TCS New York City Marathon on behalf of the patients at Lurie Children’s! Running the NYC Marathon has been a dream of mine for quite some time, and I am so excited for the opportunity to raise funds for Lurie Children's in pursuit of this goal.
My weekly volunteer work at the hospital allows me to create connections with children across various units, including the Cardiac Care Unit, Cancer and Blood Disorders unit, Pediatric Surgery unit, and the Pulmonary Medicine and Infectious Diseases unit. Collaborating with fellow volunteers and nurses, I love finding ways to brighten the children's days, whether it's through providing them with coloring books, playing a game of Uno, or reading with them. I greatly enjoy interacting with these young patients and bringing them moments of fun.
I am dedicating my 26.2 miles to advancing research, supporting families and helping to provide access for more kids.
As a nonprofit hospital, Lurie Children’s depends on donations to provide the best care for nearly 239,000 kids from across the country each year. I hope you’ll help me reach my goal in support of the patients and families at Lurie Children’s.
Here’s how your donations can make a difference:
$100 is enough help make a child’s hospital stay a more positive experience with activities, supplies and toys.
$250 can provide patients with the support they need to thrive after lengthy hospital stays.
$500 supports clinical trials to help discover new or more effective treatment options.
$1000 means we can train the next generation of specialists.
All donations are tax-deductible and will be acknowledged by Lurie Children’s Foundation.
On behalf of the patients and families of Lurie Children’s, thank you for your support!
