Please Support Our Efforts

DNS Capital is thrilled to again support Move for Kids, a 5k walk event to raise money for Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.  Our efforts will be directed to the Pritzker Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health with the first $25,000 raised designated to Little Ones, a comprehensive program for children birth to four years old.

Over the past three years, we have raised nearly $200,000 for the Pritzker Department.  With your generous support, we have helped the Pritzker Department care for more children and families.  These investments have helped address the surge of young people who require mental and behavioral healthcare.

Lurie Children’s continues to see high volumes of children and youth needing mental and behavioral health services. Last year, we cared for 6,099 children and youth in over 30,000 outpatient visits, including our partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and consult services. This represents a 10% increase since 2019. Our inpatient unit continues to operate at capacity. We admitted 433 patients last year with acute mental health needs. Philanthropic support enables us to recruit new providers, open new clinics and train the next generation of psychiatrists and psychologists.

We hope you will support our efforts again this year by either joining our team (LINK) or making a donation (LINK).

Here are just a few ways your donations could help:

$100 could fund therapeutic toys for Lurie Children’s Little Ones

$250 could provide financial relief to families by assisting with costs associated with hospital visits, meals, and clothing needs

$500 could cover costs to provide self-care materials for parents in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) could provide nursing support for the psychiatric inpatient unit

$1,000 could provide nursing support for the psychiatric inpatient unit

$5,000 could fund a scholarship for one family to participate in group therapy with Little Ones to discuss issues such as toileting woes, sleeping concerns and general behavioral issues and anxiety in young children.

$10,000 could fund one year of parent group therapy for families insured by Medicaid

$15,000 could provide seed funding for a member of the Pritzker Department to explore a scientific question with the aim of improving patient care

$25,000 could support training of a post-doctoral fellow in psychology
