The OT way: I run so kids can Play!

Please Support My Efforts
I am running the Bank of America Chicago Marathon for the patients at Lurie Children’s! I am dedicating my 26.2 miles to advancing research, supporting families and helping to provide access for more kids.
As a school based Occupational Therapist, I have the privilege of working with incredible students who overcome challenges with resilience and joy. Many of these young learners have benefited from the exceptional care provided by Lurie’s Children’s Hospital.
Lurie’s is not just a hospital; it is a beacon of hope for families navigating the complexities of pediatric health issues. The hospital’s commitment to delivering comprehensive care, regardless of a family’s ability to pay, has touched the lives of many of my students. Witnessing their journeys from treatment to triumph has been profoundly inspiring.
Gifts can also help fund services that insurance doesn’t cover and programs that families don’t receive a bill for. Pet therapy visits, in-hospital summer camp, travel vouchers and school services as well as research, advocacy and training—are all supported by philanthropic gifts.
Here are examples on how your donations can make a difference:
$100 is enough help make a child’s hospital stay a more positive experience with activities, supplies and toys.
$250 can provide patients with the support they need to thrive after lengthy hospital stays.
$500 supports clinical trials to help discover new or more effective treatment options.
$1000 means we can train the next generation of specialists.
All donations are tax-deductible and will be acknowledged by Lurie Children’s Foundation.
On behalf of the patients and families of Lurie Children’s, thank you for your support!
